Replica Don Julio Bottles for the FIFA 2026 World Cup

Display-quality replica Don Julio bottles, produced at volume and finished in metallic gold for the FIFA 2026 World Cup.

In experiential marketing, every detail contributes to creating memorable brand moments that leave a lasting impression. Bringing ambitious campaign concepts to life often requires custom physical elements that are visually impactful, scalable, and delivered within demanding timelines, challenges that traditional manufacturing methods can struggle to overcome. 3D printing empowers creative teams to transform unique concepts into tangible experiences with greater flexibility, speed, and cost efficiency, making it possible to deliver high-impact brand activations at any scale.

THE CHALLENGE

Our customer was tasked with creating a distinctive global World Cup activation that required over a thousand custom centerpiece components for VIP event experiences. The project called for custom-engineered replicas of Don Julio 1942 bottles that could serve as functional floral vases while maintaining the visual impact required for a premium brand experience.

With 1,130 small-scale replicas and additional full-sized versions needed for worldwide distribution, the client required a production solution that could support a large volume without sacrificing customization. Traditional approaches such as custom glass production or injection molding would have required significant tooling investments and extended lead times, making them less practical for a time-sensitive event activation.

The team needed a manufacturing partner who could quickly translate a creative concept into a production-ready design, validate the physical form, and scale output to meet a firm delivery deadline. The completed pieces also needed to arrive with enough time for the customer's internal team to apply custom finishes, assemble the floral arrangements, and prepare the centrepieces for shipment to event locations around the world.

What we did

  • Reverse-Engineered Bottle Geometry: Recreated the Don Julio 1942 bottle form from client-provided reference dimensions and developed a custom CAD model optimized for 3D printing production.

  • Converted Replica Design into Functional Vases: Modified the bottle replicas with hollow interiors, open tops, and stable bases to transform a decorative concept into a practical centrepiece component.

  • Validated the Design with Physical Prototypes: Produced initial prototypes for client review and approval, allowing the creative team to confirm the design before moving into full-scale manufacturing.

  • Scaled Production for Global Distribution: Expanded manufacturing capacity with parallel 3D printing operations to deliver over 1,130 custom replicas within the required timeline, giving the client time for painting, finishing, and worldwide event preparation.

why it worked

3D printing provided the flexibility to create a highly customized solution while avoiding the cost, tooling, and lead times associated with traditional manufacturing methods. By focusing on the requirements that mattered most, such as accurate exterior geometry, functional design, and efficient production, we were able to deliver a solution that balanced quality, scalability, and budget considerations. This allowed our customer to bring a unique creative concept to life while maintaining the timeline and flexibility needed for a global event activation.

Our expertise in digital design, prototyping, and additive manufacturing allowed us to bridge the gap between an initial concept and a production-ready solution. Rather than over-engineering the parts or investing in unnecessary manufacturing processes, we identified the most efficient path to achieve the desired outcome. By combining smart design decisions with scalable 3D printing capabilities, we helped our customer achieve a high-volume custom production run while preserving the creative control needed for final finishing and event presentation.

Where a model like this fits

Marketing and experiential projects often require physical assets that capture attention, communicate a brand message, and create memorable experiences. 3D printing provides a powerful solution by enabling the rapid production of custom marketing models, display pieces, and activation components without the limitations of traditional manufacturing. By combining creative design with flexible manufacturing, we help marketing teams bring unique concepts to life while meeting tight timelines, evolving ideas, and project-specific requirements.
