THE CHALLENGE

The design demanded complex internal geometry and rapid iteration, adding significant pressure to the project. They initially tasked their team in Europe with printing the project, but were met with limited success. Ultimately, the primary bottleneck came down to equipment capacity: with only two printers available, their internal team didn't have the hardware bandwidth to complete such a detailed, large-scale build on time.
What we did
Expanded Hardware Capacity: Mobilized a fleet of eight printers running in parallel to finish the entire build within the strict one-week deadline.
Thickened Key Features: Reinforced thin walls, window frames, and delicate elements directly within SketchUp to ensure structural integrity and prevent print failures.
Cleaned Up Model Geometry: Resolved stray lines, overlapping faces, and non-manifold surfaces to create a clean, watertight file ready for production.
Stripped Interior Geometry: Removed all internal structures from the model to optimize print times and focus full capacity on the exterior aesthetic.
